“Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water; so they filled them to the brim.” Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” John 2:7-10

We all have that one person, or for some, persons, who are pushing us into our purpose… because they see in us what we can’t see. For example, in verse 3 of John 2 Mary told Jesus that they were running out of wine, and this was Jesus’ response to His mother, “Woman, why do you involve me? My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4). His response led me to believe that He was hesitant… He didn’t think He was ready. And although Jesus understood His assignment and His purpose for being here in the form of man, He was still hesitant… for a split second He doubted Himself. Nonetheless, He did not disobey His mother’s request to create more wine. Once He remembered who His Father was/is, He was like, oh they are running out of wine… BET, I got you… fill those pots with water… Shazam, WINE… lets keep the party going 🤣.

So many times we doubt ourselves… doubting that we can walk in our purpose because we don’t believe what we already have is enough to complete the assignment attached to our purpose. I once heard someone say that what we think we need, we already have, we just have to put it to use. All Jesus had was water. He used what was already there, water, to create something that was impossible to create instantly, WINE. He had faith that God was going to see Him through. Faith is what we lack most of the time… we have to stop that… we have to have more faith that God will turn our “water pots” into WINE.

Let me say it like this… don’t wait until you have a MACBook to write the book, use paper and pencil… don’t wait until you have the building to start your business, work out of your home until you can afford to rent or buy the building… need to take some courses to get that promotion at work, but you don’t have a babysitter, take online courses or watch YouTube tutorials… listen you can learn ANY and EVERYTHING from YouTube University. The plan doesn’t have to be complete to get started… you just gotta get started… if that is the assignment God has for you He will see you through to the end.

Once Jesus accepted the assignment and was ready to walk in his purpose, He had to turn water into wine because wine is something that can only be produced in season (usually once a year)… but when Jesus turned water into wine out of season, it made the obvious known; man could not create such a miracle because “man” only knows the process of making wine, BUT GOD doesn’t need a process… only HE can perform miracles in season and out of season. No matter the season, take your “water pots”… your “not enough” to Him and watch Him turn them into something better than you could ever imagine… but before you take your “water pots” to Them… Jesus and God… you must first accept your assignment and be completely ready to walk in your purpose… NO HESITATION.

I hope this blog post blesses your soul and gives you the courage needed to accept your assignment and take what you already have (water pots) and present them to God in Jesus’ name and walk in your purpose.
